Special Notes for OWBC Team Coaches & Parents

On April 11 the OWBC proudly hosted the 2nd Annual FVA Girl's All-Star Game.  The South team came back from a 10 point halftime deficit to beat the North team.   The final score was South All-Stars 49, North All-Stars 39.  The MVP for the South team was Sarah Stecker from Menasha.  She had 17 points and lead her team in rebounding.  The MVP for the North team was Kimberly's Aubrey Roberts who lead her team with 9 points.  Prior to the game there was a sharp shooting contest and a 3 point shooting contest.  Alex Ball won the sharp shooting contest and Becky Bouressa won the 3 point shooting contest.  Both girls are from Kaukauna.

The camps listed below are run by Coach Clark (boys) and Coach Sutter (girls).  These camps are not run by OWBC, but OWBC highly recommends these camps for boys and girls who want to improve their basketball skills.

2009-10 Varsity Season

The club would like to congratulate both the girl’s and the boy’s varsity teams.

The 2009-10 Oshkosh West girls finished their regular season with 15 wins and 3 losses.  They finished as co-champions in the Fox Valley Association.  The girls have appeared in 3 straight sectional finals, but lost its bid for a trip to state with an overtime loss to Beaver Dam in the sectional finals.  The girls have a bright future with many returning players.  Next year should be another exciting year for Coach Sutter and the girls.

The 2009-10 Oshkosh West boys finished with a 7-11 conference record. The boy’s season ended with a loss to Fond du Lac in the regionals.  The team is returning a number of top players from this year’s team and will be exciting to follow next season.

Many players from the boy's and girl's team are former OWBC players.

Go Wildcats!!!!!!!!

Austin Meier- class of 2007 - Milwaukee School of Engineering

Academics always come first at MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering) and that is never more true than with Austin Meier.  The leading scorer on the Raider Men's Basketball team.

ESPN the Magazine's Academic All-America First Team.
Austin is a double major in Architectural Engineering and Construction Management and holds a 3.95 GPA. He is averaging almost 17 points per contest.

Austin was among the top 5 for D3, D2, and NAIA (D1&D2).  That is a lot of competition. The criteria are both academic and athletic achievement.  He is the only junior on the first team.

Austin was selected to the First Team in the All-Northern Athletics Conference.  He was sixth in scoring (16.4 per game), fourth in rebounding, fifth in field goal percentage, first in steals, second in blocked shots and third in double doubles.

Good job Austin, OWBC is proud of you!
